RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia will resume its daily nonstop flights connecting Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode starting October 16, 2026. This service re-establishes a direct route linking the UAE emirate with Kerala, a southern Indian state. Tickets are currently available through the airline’s sales channels. The route will operate between Ras Al Khaimah International Airport and Kozhikode International Airport. The airline announced the route’s return on October 6.

The daily flights provide travelers with an additional direct connection between the UAE and India. Kozhikode, also called Calicut, is a prominent city situated along Kerala’s Malabar Coast. The announcement did not specify departure or arrival times, nor did it specify which aircraft will be used for the resumed flights. Air Arabia has not yet shared flight numbers for the October restart, but travelers can check current schedules when booking their tickets.

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the route’s return, stating that the daily flights will offer a practical link between Ras Al Khaimah and Kozhikode. The airline highlighted the strong demand for travel between these two locations. The announcement focused on the route’s connectivity, increased frequency, and confirmed restart date, but did not include passenger volume projections or traffic estimates. No additional operational modifications were announced alongside the route’s resumption.

Daily flights strengthen Ras Al Khaimah’s international network

The renewed Kozhikode service will join several other international routes from Ras Al Khaimah. Currently, Air Arabia offers nonstop flights to Cairo, Islamabad, Lahore, and Peshawar from the emirate. Kozhikode will rejoin this network starting October 16. The airline began operating from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport in May 2014, and since then, the emirate has remained one of its key bases within the United Arab Emirates.

The Kozhikode route was initially launched on November 22, 2023, with a schedule of three flights per week, departing on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. These flights were operated by Airbus A320 aircraft under flight numbers G9 728 and G9 729. The newly announced schedule will increase the frequency to daily flights, although the airline has yet to confirm whether the original flight numbers will be reused or specify the operating times for the resumed service.

Tickets now available for the October 16 restart

Passengers can purchase tickets through the airline’s official website, call center, or authorized travel agencies. These booking options were confirmed along with the route announcement. The airline did not specify when the initial Kozhikode service was discontinued or provide reasons for the pause. Additionally, no starting fares or aircraft details were shared. The confirmed information includes the route, daily frequency, and the October 16 restart date, but other operational specifics remain unannounced.

The route’s return marks the reintroduction of a nonstop service between Ras Al Khaimah and Kerala after nearly three years since its initial launch. The route will now operate daily, replacing the previous schedule of three flights per week. This will once again connect the two airports directly, without layovers. Passengers seeking precise flight times, fares, or flight numbers can review the latest booking information before traveling. Air Arabia has not indicated any plans for further adjustments to the Kozhikode route beyond the daily service restart.
