SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to introduce nonstop flights connecting Sharjah International Airport with Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline will operate this route four times each week, strengthening the direct travel link between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Currently, Air Arabia already offers flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, providing travelers access to two airports serving Amman. The new service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Air Arabia launches Sharjah flights to Amman City Airport
Sharjah gains another direct Amman connection as Air Arabia expands its Jordan network.

Flight G9 169 departs Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time. The return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and lands in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The announcement of this new route was made on October 8, more than a month ahead of the first scheduled flight.

This new route from Sharjah broadens Air Arabia Group’s existing network within Jordan, complementing its services from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi already connects Zayed International Airport to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Additionally, the airline operates direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The recent addition of Sharjah as a departure point offers travelers more flexibility when flying to Jordan’s capital.

New Amman airport joins Sharjah network

Adel Al Ali, CEO of Air Arabia Group, highlighted that the new service provides travelers with an alternative airport option in Amman. He explained that this route will enhance convenience and offer greater flexibility for passengers traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a second gateway in Jordan for Air Arabia’s Sharjah schedule.

Earlier this year in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi began operating flights to Amman City Airport. These flights, starting May 1, offer three weekly nonstop services from Zayed International Airport. Before adding the second airport in Amman, Abu Dhabi flights already served Queen Alia International Airport. With the new service, Air Arabia announced a total of 10 weekly flights to Amman from Abu Dhabi. The introduction of the Sharjah route extends this dual-airport model to the Emirate of Sharjah.

Four weekly flights boost UAE-Jordan travel options

Throughout its published schedule, the new Sharjah flights will be identified with the G9 169 and G9 170 service codes. Air Arabia’s fleet includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, which operate across its network. The airline also offers SkyTime in-flight entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meal services, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Passengers interested in the new Amman City Airport route can book tickets through the airline’s usual sales channels ahead of the service’s launch in November.

This November expansion enhances Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan via multiple bases. Passengers from Sharjah will have direct access to Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Meanwhile, passengers from Abu Dhabi already enjoy services to both airports through Air Arabia Abu Dhabi. Alexandria’s direct flights to Amman City Airport also continue. The addition of the Sharjah route increases the group’s weekly flights to Jordan by four, further expanding its regional network.
